Islamabad: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) celebrated the academic achievements of its students during the 37th Medal and Prize Distribution Ceremony held at the Islamabad Model College for Boys on August 6, 2024. The event recognized the top performers of the 2022 and 2023 board examinations at both the Secondary and Higher Secondary levels.
According to Press Information Department, the ceremony was attended by notable figures including Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, and Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmad Wani, Federal Secretary Education. Fifty students were awarded medals, cash prizes, laptops, and merit certificates for their exceptional academic performances. FBISE Chairman Syed Junaid Akhlaq and the chief guest Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui both delivered speeches that praised the students’ dedication and outlined further government initiatives to enhance educational opportunities.
The ceremony also highlighted new educational initiatives such as the establishment of IT parks in schools, provision of meals, the introduction of art rooms and mind games to enhance cognitive skills, and the beautification of school environments. Additionally, the inauguration of Pink Buses for female commuters in Islamabad was discussed as a significant step towards providing dignified transport solutions.
Dr. Siddiqui emphasized the role of the FBISE in setting benchmarks for educational standards across the country and encouraged the awarded students to continue their pursuit of excellence. The event not only served as a platform to honor academic excellence but also as a reaffirmation of the Federal Government’s commitment to improving educational facilities and standards across the nation.
