Islamabad, As India approaches its general elections, the Narendra Modi-led government has reportedly intensified false flag operations and anti-Pakistan propaganda. This escalation is seen as an attempt to influence the upcoming electoral process in India.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Modi administration quickly attributed blame to Pakistan for an attack on Indian troops in Poonch district, a region situated 15 to 20 km away from the Line of Control (LoC) in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Following this incident, RAW’s fake Twitter accounts and some segments of the Indian media accused Pakistan without presenting concrete evidence.
This year has witnessed several alleged false flag operations orchestrated by the Modi government, seemingly aimed at arousing anti-Pakistan sentiment to gain electoral sympathy. Incidents in Rajouri on January 25, ahead of Indian Republic Day, and on April 26, just before the G20 summit, were followed by propaganda campaigns blaming Pakistan. Further, false flag operations were reported in Poonch district on May 21, Islamabad district on September 14, and Neelam on October 28, with Pakistan being accused for these incidents. Additionally, on October 5, Indian media outlets accused Pakistan of supporting an attack in Rajouri, which later emerged to involve an Indian Major killing five Indian soldiers.
Notably, an incident in Bathinda in April, initially framed as terrorism and blamed on Pakistan, was later revealed to be an act of violence by an Indian soldier against his comrades due to alleged sexual abuse. Similar tactics were observed before the 2014 elections and the 2018 Pulwama attack, which have been suggested as staged events.
Former Governor of Occupied Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik, and journalist Ravish Kumar have criticized the Modi government, revealing that the Pulwama attack was a false flag operation.
Experts speculate that recent Indian propaganda against Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir’s visit to the US could be a cynical ploy to sway the Biden administration. They expressed surprise at the pattern of false flag operations initially being reported by RAW’s fake Twitter accounts.
Conversely, there are reports of growing discontent and frustration within the Indian Army. Soldiers lament the lack of essential equipment and military gear, such as bulletproof vests and armored vehicles, which hinders their operational efficiency. This contrast between the politicians’ security measures and the inadequate resources provided to soldiers on the battlefield has reportedly fuelled resentment within the Indian military ranks.
