ISLAMABAD: Empowering women and youth is crucial for Pakistan’s economic prosperity and sustainable development, Acting Chairman Senate Syedal Khan Nasir declared during the inauguration ceremony of 2WINSY Café in Islamabad’s DHA Phase-II. Speaking as the chief guest, he praised the entrepreneurial efforts of young women, particularly the twin sisters who launched the café, as a commendable step towards achieving economic independence and contributing to the national economy.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Syedal Khan Nasir highlighted that the twin sisters, beginning their entrepreneurial journey at the age of 19, were securing their future while supporting the country’s economic growth. He stressed that economically empowered women, with the right skills, play a critical role in shaping a better future generation. Nasir congratulated the sisters and acknowledged the support from their family and friends, expressing optimism for the café’s success and potential expansion.
Nasir noted that women constitute more than half of Pakistan’s population and emphasized that their active participation in economic and social development is vital for the nation’s rapid and sustainable progress. He underscored the need to promote small businesses, trade, and investment as essential components of a robust national economy.
