Emergency Meeting in Washington DC Calls Out India for Crimes Against Humanity in Jammu and Kashmir


Washington DC, The World Kashmir Awareness Forum (WKAF) and the Kashmir Diaspora Coalition (KDC) convened an emergency meeting to address ongoing crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Indian government in the disputed territory of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the meeting focused on the Indian government’s alleged violations of international human rights law and the Geneva Conventions, highlighting its global targeted assassination policy. WKAF Secretary-General and KDC Board member Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai emphasized the organizations’ unwavering solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Ghulam Nabi Mir, President of both WKAF and KDC, called for international censure of India’s actions in the region.



The discussion also included statements from Dr. Mubeen Shah, Senior Vice President of KDC, who reiterated the coalition’s dedication to democratic principles and justice. Dr. Farhan Chak, Secretary-General of KDC, accused the Indian government of suppressing dissent and committing severe human rights abuses in Jammu and Kashmir. The session concluded with a collective appeal to the international community to take decisive action against the Indian government for its alleged abuses and violations of international norms.
