Washington: The Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C., organized a traditional Mehfil-e-Milad to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) during the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. Hosted by Mrs. Lubna Rizwan Sheikh, wife of Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, a large gathering of Pakistani-American women participated in the event, which included spiritual recitations and prayers.

According to Press Information Department, Mrs. Lubna Rizwan, in her welcome address, emphasized the significance of Rabi-ul-Awwal and the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a source of guidance and brotherhood. She underscored the importance of incorporating the Prophet’s teachings into daily life to promote peace and address contemporary challenges.

Speakers at the event reiterated these points, highlighting the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) message of monotheism and compassion as a guide for success. The gathering featured notable Naat performances and concluded with prayers for the prosperity of Pakistan and the global Muslim community. First Secretary Ifrah Tariq moderated the proceedings, with attendees expressing their gratitude to the hosts for upholding the traditions of this occasion.
