Islamabad: Foreign Ministers from eight countries have condemned statements made by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Defense Minister Israel Katz concerning the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. They expressed their disapproval in a joint statement, characterizing such proposals as violations of international law.

According to Radio Pakistan, ministers from Pakistan, Egypt, Türkiye, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates rejected any plans for forcibly relocating Palestinians. They emphasized their strong disapproval of any attempts to displace Palestinians within or outside the Occupied Palestinian Territory, warning that implementing such measures could destabilize regional peace.

The ministers highlighted that actions supporting displacement would undermine international peace efforts, including President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict. They stressed the importance of maintaining the unity of Palestinian territories, including the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, with East Jerusalem as the capital of an independent Palestinian State.

The statement called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to oppose efforts to alter the demographic or geographic reality in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. They reiterated their support for the Palestinian people’s rights and rejected attempts to undermine the Palestinian cause.
