ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Security Islamabad, Rana Umar Farooq, recently chaired a significant meeting to assess and enhance the security arrangements for Chinese nationals living and working in the capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting included Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, along with other security officials. The discussions focused on the security protocols at residences, development projects, and other strategic sites associated with Chinese nationals. Officials provided updates on deployment strategies, security roles, monitoring systems, and the general security landscape.

DIG Farooq underscored the importance of maintaining strong, coordinated, and reliable security frameworks at both residential and work sites. He instructed officers to remain vigilant, enforce effective checking procedures, enhance surveillance, and ensure rapid response capabilities for any emergencies.

Emphasizing the priority of safeguarding Chinese nationals, he stated that any lapses in security would not be tolerated. He also urged officers to adhere strictly to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborate closely with relevant departments to bolster the security infrastructure.
