Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Ali Wasim, alongside SSP Model Prison Islamabad Ali Akbar, conducted a visit to the under-construction jail in Islamabad to assess the progress of construction and evaluate security measures. The visit focused on reviewing construction work, security arrangements, and basic facilities.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the relevant officers briefed DIG Ali Wasim on the ongoing project. The DIG inspected different stages of the construction and instructed that the work be completed within the stipulated timeframe, adhering to approved designs and quality standards. He emphasized the importance of maintaining quality throughout the project.
The DIG also assessed the security arrangements, directing that the jail’s security system conform to modern requirements. He insisted on the implementation of necessary security measures to ensure safety.
Highlighting the significance of the project, DIG Ali Wasim called for special attention to be paid to construction quality, security, and essential facilities to ensure better working conditions for police officials and staff.
Later, DIG Ali Wasim presided over an Orderly Room session at his office to address issues faced by police officers and officials. During the session, DIG Ali Wasim listened to concerns and directed senior officers to resolve genuine issues promptly, emphasizing the department’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel.
He stated that the Orderly Room provides an opportunity for police officials to voice their concerns and ensures timely resolution, thereby boosting morale. The initiative will continue to address welfare matters and resolve issues faced by officials.
