Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar Outlines Pakistan’s Foreign Policy to Senate Committee


Islamabad: In the first meeting of the newly established Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar provided a comprehensive briefing on the current state and priorities of Pakistan’s foreign policy. The discussion highlighted Pakistan’s engagement with key regional partners and prominent multilateral organizations.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Dar discussed various aspects of diplomatic relations, including interactions with the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and the Developing Eight (D8). He also addressed questions from committee members, detailing significant achievements in economic and multilateral diplomacy.
