Raipur, A tragic incident in Chhattisgarh state resulted in the death of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), following a bomb blast. The attack, attributed to Maoist guerrillas, occurred in the Dantewada area, highlighting the ongoing violence in regions affected by insurgency.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased ASI, identified as Girish Babu and originally from Uttar Pradesh, was critically injured in the explosion. Despite being promptly transferred to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi for medical treatment, Babu succumbed to his injuries.
Girish Babu had been redeployed to Dantewada district in Chhattisgarh from Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir shortly before the incident. His death underscores the perilous conditions faced by security personnel operating in areas with active insurgencies. Etawah SSP, Sanjay Kumar Verma, confirmed the details of the incident to the media, shedding light on the risks encountered by forces in maintaining law and order in regions plagued by Maoist activities.
