Continental Air Brings Cold, Dry Weather Across Most of the Country

ISLAMABAD, Continental air is currently influencing weather conditions across most parts of the country, leading to predominantly cold and dry weather in the plains, as reported by the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Islamabad.

According to National Weather Forecasting Centre – Islamabad, most plain areas of the country are expected to experience cold and dry weather on Sunday, with partly cloudy conditions in the Pothohar region and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, fog and smog are likely to persist in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh.

The weather pattern is expected to continue into Monday, with similar cold and dry conditions in the plains. Partly cloudy weather will prevail in the Pothohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir. The morning and night hours in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh are likely to see continued fog and smog.

In the past 24 hours, the country has experienced cold and dry weather overall, with particularly cold conditions in the northern areas. The lowest recorded minimum temperatures today were in Leh (-11°C), Skardu (-8°C), Srinagar, Kalam (-5°C), Gilgit (-4°C), Pulwama, Anantnag, Baramulla, and Gupis (-3°C).
