Islamabad: A committee meeting chaired by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar was convened to review and advance the finalization of the Auto and Auto Parts Manufacturing Policy 2026-31, aligning with the Prime Minister’s directives. The meeting focused on addressing various aspects of the draft policy.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting saw participation from Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr. Musadik Masood Malik, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan, along with representatives from relevant ministries, divisions, and organizations. The committee conducted a clause-by-clause review of concerns raised by different ministries and organizations regarding the Auto Policy.
A thorough examination of the policy’s provisions and its implementation framework was undertaken during the meeting. Proposals and recommendations submitted by relevant ministries and organizations for the finalization of the Auto Policy were also reviewed. The committee agreed to continue clause-by-clause consideration and consultations in future meetings to ensure a comprehensive and collaborative final policy.
