New Delhi, February 07, 2023 (PPI-OT):Congress Kashmir chapter staged a strong protest demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi against the eviction campaign carried out by the local set-up directly run by New Delhi in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to Kashmir Media Service, scores of party leaders and workers assembled at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi and raised slogans against the eviction of local people from their lands and properties. Talking to media persons on the occasion, party leader Shahnawaz Choudhary said that the present land order proves the hypocrisy of BJP regime because on one side its leadership claims to work for the needy and on other it is ruining the lives of people in Kashmir.
The Congress leader said big sharks who have usurped the big land chunks comprising thousands of kanals of land but notices have been served on poor and marginalized sections of society. Shahnawaz said the BJP regime is the most distrustful dispensation which the people of J and K have ever seen. Instead of teaching a lesson to big mafias who had captured state resources, New Delhi is showing its might on poor strata of the society, he added.
