Congress Criticizes IIOJK Administration for Neglecting Public Welfare Amid Crisis

Jammu, The Congress chapter in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has voiced significant concerns over the New Delhi-installed administration’s handling of the region’s pressing issues, particularly the basic necessities of its people. The political party has highlighted the administration’s failure to alleviate the hardships faced by residents amid an ongoing heatwave that has exacerbated water and power shortages.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Raman Bhalla, the working president of the IIOJK Congress chapter, expressed these concerns during interactions with residents in various areas of Jammu. He criticized the local authorities for their inability to effectively manage the crisis, particularly the severe water and power shortages that have recently plagued the region, including Jammu city. These issues have led to numerous public protests, yet there has been little to no resolution on the ground.

Bhalla pointed out the significant discomfort and disruption caused by the rising temperatures, noting that the inadequate water supply has intensified the difficulties for the local population. He highlighted the growing dissatisfaction and resentment among the residents towards the authorities’ apparent indifference to their suffering.
