MINSK: Chairman Senate of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, leading a parliamentary delegation, laid a wreath at the Victory Monument in Minsk, Belarus, during an official visit aimed at enhancing bilateral relations. The ceremony, which marked the beginning of the delegation’s visit, emphasized the shared values of peace and respect for historical sacrifices.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the ceremony was attended by prominent Belarusian officials, including Sergey Aleinik, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Council of the Republic of Belarus on International Affairs and National Security, and representatives from the Minsk City Executive Committee and City Council of Deputies. The visit, initiated at the invitation of Belarusian parliamentary leaders, seeks to invigorate cooperation, particularly in trade, economic, and humanitarian sectors. Key activities include high-level meetings and the signing of a Memorandum on Cooperation to enhance parliamentary engagement. The delegation will also visit significant industrial and medical centers in Belarus.
