Islamabad: The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have signed an addendum to their Memorandum of Understanding, originally established in May 2025, to enhance their efforts against collusive tendering, anti-competitive practices, and corruption.

According to Press Information Department, the addendum was signed by Ms. Marryum Pervaiz, Secretary to the Commission CCP, and Mr. Muhammad Tahir, Director General (SID) NAB, at NAB’s headquarters in Islamabad. The event was attended by Chairman NAB Lt Gen (R) Nazir Ahmed, CCP Chairman Mr. Farid Ahmed Tarar, and senior officers from both organizations.

The supplementary agreement focuses on capacity-building initiatives, specialized training, and technical cooperation under the PACA framework. The expanded partnership aims to foster collaboration in areas such as joint workshops on competition law and anti-corruption, the exchange of experts and investigators, and efforts to detect bid rigging and market manipulation.

The institutions will also collaborate on research initiatives, policy dialogues, and the development of shared training modules and case studies. Other terms of the original MoU remain unchanged.
