Islamabad: The Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA) Ministerial Summit is set to commence in Islamabad, with a focus on enhancing youth development and international cooperation. The event, starting tomorrow, will highlight transformative projects and facilitate discussions on job and scholarship opportunities for young individuals.
According to a statement by Press Information Department, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, announced new initiatives aimed at empowering the youth. At a media briefing, Khan emphasized the significance of economic and political stability for national progress and remarked on the positive global perception of Pakistan, which has led to increased foreign investments.
The summit will feature delegates from 12 countries, including Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and will include the inauguration of the CAYA Secretariat in Pakistan. An important aspect of the summit will be the launch of the Spark magazine, aimed at engaging young leaders and policymakers on issues like environmental challenges, digital transformation, and socio-economic inclusion.
Khan highlighted the government’s efforts to provide laptops, scholarships, and sports opportunities to the youth, building on the foundation laid by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in 2013. The event will also see the selection of 100 members for the National Youth Council from Pakistan, along with 13 international members, who will take a formal oath on Tuesday.
The CAYA Youth Summit 2025 underscores Pakistan’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and empowering youth for a sustainable future.
