Caretaker PM Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar Discusses Economic and Political Developments in Pakistan

Islamabad, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has provided an optimistic outlook for Pakistan’s economy in the coming weeks. In an interview with a private TV channel, he discussed the government’s plans to sign Memorandums of Understanding for projects worth billions of dollars with countries such as Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and others. He praised the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in ensuring economic policy consistency and attracting foreign investment in various fields.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister highlighted the SIFC’s role in promoting economic stability and its recent agreements for investment in Pakistan. He also mentioned the successful efforts to curb cross-border smuggling of dollars and goods. Regarding the political landscape, Kakar stated that general elections are scheduled for February 8 next year, with the Election Commission of Pakistan preparing to ensure free and fair elections. He assured that all political parties are free to organize election-related activities, emphasizing the caretaker government’s impartiality and commitment to transparent elections. On the issue of missing persons in Balochistan, he clarified that no state institution is involved in enforced disappearances.
