Caretaker Government Maintains Neutrality Ahead of Elections, Assures Minister Solangi”

Karachi, Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi has assured that the caretaker government is impartial and not favoring any party or candidate during its constitutional tenure. This statement comes amidst the upcoming elections scheduled for February 8, emphasizing the government’s commitment to fairness and equality.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ,Solangi, during a television talk show, stated that equal media coverage is being provided to all registered political parties across various state-run platforms, including Pakistan Television, Radio Pakistan, and the Associated Press of Pakistan. This move is part of the government’s effort to ensure a level playing field for all political entities in the lead-up to the elections.

Addressing the ongoing protests outside the Islamabad Press Club, which have continued for 23 days, the minister conveyed that the government is not planning to use force against the protestors. Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has formed a three-member committee to handle this matter. The Information Minister highlighted that the committee has engaged in negotiations with the protesters, leading to the immediate release of women and children, followed by the release of several male protestors.

The caretaker government’s actions reflect its dedication to maintaining stability and order during this transitional period, ensuring that the upcoming electoral process is conducted transparently and justly.
