Quetta, At least twenty-three people were martyred and twenty-nine were injured in two separate bomb blasts targeting a political party’s office and an independent candidate in the Qillah Saifullah and Pishin districts of Balochistan today. The victims of these attacks have been transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, President Dr. Arif Alvi and Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar have both strongly condemned the attacks in Pishin and Qilla Saifullah. President Alvi expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the tragic loss of lives, extending his condolences to the families of the victims and praying for the souls of the deceased.
Prime Minister Kakar, expressing regret over the casualties, has directed the provision of immediate medical assistance to those injured. He has also called for a detailed report on the incidents from the Chief Secretary of Balochistan, emphasizing the government’s commitment to conducting the general elections peacefully and thwarting any attempts to disrupt law and order.
Caretaker Provincial Home Minister Mir Zubair Jamali condemned the attacks as well and has requested a report from the Deputy Commissioner of Pishin. Minister Jamali shared his deep sorrow over the loss of life resulting from these violent acts.
These bombings have cast a shadow over the region’s political and security environment, especially in the lead-up to the general elections. The government’s vow to ensure peace and order during this critical period underscores the challenges faced in maintaining security in volatile regions.
