Islamabad: Only 12% of Pakistani men use bicycles, with a higher prevalence among urban residents and those with less than FA education, a recent survey by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan shows. The study highlights that bicycle usage is notably limited across the country, with significant variations based on location and education levels.

According to Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the survey found that while 12% of men reported using a bicycle, a substantial 87% said they did not, and 1% did not respond. The survey, conducted by the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International, involved 680 men from urban and rural areas across all four provinces. The data collection took place from March 18 to March 31, 2026, using telephone-based surveys, with an error margin of approximately ± 2-3 percent.

The findings reveal that urban men reported a higher usage rate of 16% compared to 10% among rural men. Additionally, men with less than FA education reported a 14% usage rate, while those with FA and above education reported only 5%. This indicates that both location and educational attainment significantly influence bicycle usage among Pakistani men.
