New York: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with Dr. Khalilur Rahman, President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, at the United Nations in New York. The meeting focused on mutual interests, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for multilateralism and the UN’s central role.

According to Radio Pakistan, Senator Dar congratulated Dr. Rahman on his new role and assured him of Pakistan’s constructive engagement with the UN General Assembly. Both leaders discussed various topics of mutual interest and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to multilateral efforts. Senator Dar also expressed confidence in Dr. Rahman’s leadership and reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to advancing the UN General Assembly’s work.

In another meeting on the UNGA’s sidelines, Senator Dar met with E.P. Chet Greene, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda. They discussed strengthening bilateral relations, focusing on expanding cooperation in education and diplomatic training. The leaders also explored enhancing collaboration at multilateral forums, particularly within the Commonwealth and the United Nations.
