Yerevan: Pakistan’s diplomatic ties with Armenia took a significant step forward as Shafqat Ali Khan, Pakistan’s first Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia, presented his letters of credence to Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan. The ceremony, held at the Presidential Palace, marked a notable moment in the countries’ relationship as both nations expressed a mutual desire to enhance cooperation.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the occasion, President Khachaturyan emphasized his willingness to support efforts aimed at developing and expanding relations between Pakistan and Armenia. Ambassador Khan reciprocated by conveying greetings from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with Armenia.

Both sides identified substantial potential for broadening engagement, highlighting sectors such as trade and investment, education, culture, and people-to-people contacts as areas of interest for economic cooperation. The discussions underscored a shared vision for a more robust partnership between the two countries.
