ISLAMABAD: The Acting Chairman of the Senate, Syedal Khan Nasir, emphasized the significance of Islamic teachings and the Seerah of Holy Prophet Muhammad in providing comprehensive solutions to the challenges faced by youth. Addressing the 2nd International Seerah Conference 2026 in Islamabad, he highlighted the importance of these teachings in guiding young people towards success and stability in both worldly and spiritual matters.

According to the Senate of Pakistan, the conference, organized by the Department of Islamic Studies at Alhamd Islamic University, focused on the theme “Contemporary Educational, Economic and Social Challenges Facing Youth and Their Solutions in the Light of Seerah-e-Tayyaba.” Syedal Khan Nasir underscored the relevance of the Prophet’s life and teachings as exemplars of peace, justice, and coexistence, particularly through the Charter of Madinah.

The Acting Chairman stressed that with the youth comprising over 60 percent of Pakistan’s population, it is crucial to equip them with modern education and skills while fostering moral values. He expressed concern over rising trends of intolerance and negative discourse among young people, advocating for measures to protect them from extremist influences and promote constructive use of social media.

In his address, Syedal Khan Nasir called for political unity and accountability, urging leaders to prioritize national interests for Pakistan’s development. He praised the collective efforts of political and security leadership in enhancing Pakistan’s international standing and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to the sanctity of the Holy Kaaba.

The Acting Chairman concluded by commending the conference organizers and participants, expressing hope that the event would advance the universal message of Seerah-e-Tayyaba and contribute to the intellectual and moral growth of the youth.
