Mirpur, October 22, 2022 (PPI-OT): The 76th Founding Day of the emergence of Azad government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir on October 24 will be celebrated in a befitting manner. The historical day will be celebrated with the renewal of the pledge to continue the Kashmir freedom struggle till complete success. The Founding Day of Azad Jammu Kashmir government is celebrated every year as on October 24, 1947, the AJK territory was liberated by the valiant sons of the soil from the clutches of the India-backed despotic Dogra rule.

Special ceremonies will be held in all ten districts of Azad Jammu Kashmir to celebrate the day with simplicity. Speakers will highlight the historic significance of the founding day. Besides ‘Fateha’ will be offered for the Kashmiri martyrs besides offering special prayers for the early success of the Jammu and Kashmir freedom movement as well as the progress and prosperity of AJK.

In Mirpur special ceremonies would be held to celebrate the Foundation Day of AJK government under the auspices of various social, political and public representative organizations under the fold of the National Events Organizing Committee on October 24 across AJK. Major Pakistan and AJK national flags-hoisting ceremonies will be held at the lawn of Municipal Corporation Mirpur at 09.00am.
