Prime Minister Investigates Complaint Against Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has taken notice of a complaint lodged by Transparency International Pakistan against Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) concerning alleged violations of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules.

According to Radio Pakistan, a press release from the Prime Minister’s office states that the Prime Minister has directed the relevant authorities to initiate an investigation into the alleged violations in SNGPL’s tender processes. The Prime Minister emphasized that should the complaint be substantiated, those responsible must face appropriate action.

The directive comes in response to concerns raised by Transparency International Pakistan about the adherence to PPRA rules by SNGPL, a major public utility company. The outcome of the investigation could have significant implications for the company’s operations and governance practices.
