Young Parliamentarians Forum Undergoes Digital Training in Islamabad


ISLAMABAD: Members of the Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) of Pakistan’s National Assembly participated in structured training under the “Digital Empowerment – Orientation and Practicum” program’s first phase. The training, carried out at the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Studies (PIPS), falls under the vision of Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Honourable Speaker of the National Assembly. It aims to enhance digital skills among parliamentarians and integrate modern technology into parliamentary practices, led by Syed Nosheen Iftikhar, President of the YPF.



According to the National Assembly of Pakistan, the initiative seeks to equip Members of the National Assembly with the skills needed to utilize the first AI-enabled Parliamentary System. This system facilitates the digital management of House proceedings and legislative affairs, aiming for greater efficiency, transparency, and responsiveness. The training session included topics on improving basic digital skills, responsible use of official communication tools, and secure handling of digital platforms for parliamentary duties. Participants were also given practical demonstrations to understand digital workflows essential for legislative functions.



YPF members expressed approval for the initiative, acknowledging its importance in enhancing legislative effectiveness and public service delivery. The program is part of ongoing efforts to modernize and digitize parliamentary processes, with the second phase scheduled for May 21, 2026. Attendees included Syed Ali Qasim Gillani, Ms. Ghazala Anjum, Ms. Kiran Imran Dar, Ms. Shahista Khan, Ms. Mah Jabeen Khan Abbasi, and Ms. Akhtar Bibi.
