ISLAMABAD: Three-quarters of Pakistanis, or 75%, believe that women riding bikes is becoming a common sight across the country, with the perception more prevalent in urban areas, a recent survey has found.
According to a Gallup & Gilani Pakistan survey, the study involved a nationally representative sample of adult Pakistanis. Participants were asked whether they believed women riding bikes was becoming common in society. Of those surveyed, 75% responded affirmatively, while 22% disagreed. An additional 3% were uncertain or did not provide a response.
The survey results indicate a significant shift in societal perceptions, particularly in urban regions, where 88% of respondents noted that the phenomenon is growing more common. In contrast, 68% of those in rural areas shared this view.
