Synoptic Situation

A strong westerly wave is affecting most parts of the country and may persist till Thursday.

Tuesday

Rain-thunderstorm/dust raising/gusty winds (snow over hills) is expected in north Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper/central Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Hailstorm is also expected at isolated places during the period. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Wednesday

Rain-thunderstorm/dust raising/gusty winds (snow over hills) is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Hailstorm is also expected at isolated places during the period. Cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.

Past 24-Hour Weather

Cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas. However, rain with snow over the hills occurred in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Quetta and Attock.

Rainfall (mm): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Parachinar 07, Malamjabba, Cherat 02, Peshawar 01, Balochistan: Quetta (Samungli) 03, Punjab: Attock 01.

Snowfall (inch): Malamjabba 01.

Today’s Lowest Minimum Temperature’s (°C): Leh -09, Astore -07, Kalam -05, Gupis -04, Bagrote, Dir, Malamjabba, Parachinar, Skardu -02 and Hunza -01.
