Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar engaged in a telephonic discussion with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, where Pakistan’s active role in fostering regional peace was commended by the Uzbek official.
According to Radio Pakistan, during the conversation, Foreign Minister Saidov praised Pakistan’s leadership in organizing a recent meeting of four foreign ministers in Islamabad. He acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in promoting peace, stability, and de-escalation in the region. The Uzbek Foreign Minister also expressed support for the Pakistan-China Five-Point Initiative aimed at enhancing peace and stability in the Gulf and Middle East.
Both leaders also reviewed recent developments in the region and concurred on the importance of maintaining close communication on issues of mutual interest.
