Pakistan and China Pledge to Enhance Consular Cooperation

BEIJING: Pakistan and China have pledged to further strengthen consular cooperation, aiming to improve facilitation for each other’s nationals. This commitment was made during the 10th Round of Pakistan-China Consular Consultations held in Beijing on Tuesday.

According to Radio Pakistan, the consultations served as an institutionalized mechanism for reviewing the entire spectrum of bilateral consular matters. The discussions encompassed visa and immigration issues, as well as the protection and welfare of nationals between the two countries.

The meeting, which was led by Director General (China) Tariq Wazir for Pakistan and Long Zhao, Director General of the Department of Consular Affairs, for China, highlighted the satisfaction of both parties with the continued growth in people-to-people exchanges. The two sides reiterated their commitment to further enhancing these exchanges and cooperation in consular affairs.
