Islamabad: A ten-member media delegation from Uzbekistan has arrived in Pakistan for a seven-day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing media and people-to-people contacts between the two countries.
According to Press Information Department, the delegation, consisting of prominent Uzbek television personalities, digital content creators, YouTubers, influencers, and social media figures, is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of the Government of Pakistan. During their stay, they will engage with representatives from various public and private sector institutions to observe Pakistan’s progress and achievements across different sectors.
The visit is primarily focused on providing the Uzbek media personalities with firsthand insights into Pakistan’s evolving media landscape, particularly the roles of television, digital media, and social media in shaping public discourse, promoting the country’s image, and contributing to social and economic development.
Additionally, the delegation will explore opportunities for enhanced media cooperation and the exchange of content and experiences between the two nations. This visit is expected to offer a platform for the Uzbek media professionals to develop a deeper understanding of Pakistan and share their observations and experiences with audiences back in Uzbekistan through various media channels.
During their tour, the delegation will visit significant cultural, historical, and tourist sites, including Murree, Taxila, and Lahore, as well as prominent landmarks in Islamabad. They will have the chance to experience Pakistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage, including the ancient civilization of Taxila and the architectural legacy of Lahore.
The visitors will also tour the Faisal Mosque, one of Pakistan’s most notable modern architectural landmarks, to observe its distinctive design and appreciate the blend of contemporary architecture with the nation’s long-standing cultural traditions.
This visit is part of Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to foster greater understanding between the peoples of Pakistan and Uzbekistan and to further strengthen the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries through enhanced media engagement, cultural exchanges, tourism, and people-to-people contacts.
