Islamabad, The United States has praised Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts and its role in fostering regional stability. This commendation came during a meeting between General Michael Erik Kurilla, Commander of the US CENTCOM, and General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions focused on enhancing training interactions between CENTCOM and the Pakistan Army, and explored cooperation in regional security matters. The meeting also highlighted the shared interests and potential avenues for joint military training initiatives.
General Kurilla acknowledged the Pakistan Army’s significant achievements in combating terrorism and its persistent efforts to maintain peace in the region. Both sides reiterated their commitment to continue their collaboration to address security challenges and stabilize the region.
