ISLAMABAD: A high-level United Nations delegation has commended Pakistan’s advanced disaster management system and its proactive preparedness strategies. Led by Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher, the delegation visited the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Headquarters in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, the delegation was welcomed by NDMA Chairman Lieutenant General Inam Haider Malik. The United Nations officials acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in adopting modern techniques to effectively manage disasters and enhance resilience against potential emergencies.
