Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has sanctioned the awarding of the civil honor, Hilal-e-Pakistan, to Miguel Ángel Moratinos, the United Nations Special Envoy tasked with combating Islamophobia. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to Pakistan or have worked to improve Pakistan’s relations with other countries.
According to Radio Pakistan: Alongside this, President Zardari has approved the appointment of Zafar Hasan as a new member of the Federal Public Service Commission, an organization responsible for recruiting civil servants and bureaucrats in the federal government. These decisions highlight the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international relations and enhance the efficiency of public service in the country.
