Two more Indian soldiers killed in Poonch, toll reaches 9 

Srinagar, October 16, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, two more Indian army personnel were killed in ongoing cordon and search operation (CASO) in Poonch, today, taking the toll to nine since Monday. Indian troops had launched a massive cordon and search operation in Mendhar, Surankote and other areas of the district on Monday.

Five Indian troops, including one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were killed in an attack in Surankote on Monday while two soldiers were killed in another attack in Mendhar on Thursday evening during the ongoing operation. Defence ministry spokesman based in Jammu, Lt Colonel Devender Anand, told media that the bodies of Subedar Ajay Singh and Naik Harendra Singh were recovered from the site, today, raising the number of killed troops to nine.
