Two Members of Criminal Gangs Arrested, 14 Stolen Bikes Recovered in Islamabad


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb criminal activities in the city, the Islamabad Police have apprehended two members of a bike lifting and theft gang, recovering 14 stolen motorcycles in the process.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were made by the Industrial Area police teams who were acting on directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The IGP had called for a rigorous crackdown on criminal elements in the city. Utilizing both technical and human resources, the police successfully detained the suspects, identified as Irfan Sajid and Ali Murad.



The duo is accused of involvement in multiple theft incidents within Islamabad. Legal cases have been initiated against them, and further investigations are underway. The preliminary inquiry revealed their confession to numerous theft activities in the area.



SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, has instructed all senior officials to intensify efforts against those engaged in criminal acts. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activities via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
