Islamabad Police Arrests Notorious Burglar, Recovers Stolen Valuables Worth Millions


ISLAMABAD: In a significant breakthrough, the Islamabad Police have apprehended a member of an organized burglary gang, recovering stolen items valued at over 3.4 million rupees. The suspect, identified as Reham Zeb, was detained by the Aabpara police station team, which also discovered a cache of stolen goods including luxury watches, LED TVs, fans, clothing, a sewing machine, gold ornaments, and cash.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, Zeb has a previous criminal record and confessed to multiple thefts during the initial investigation. A legal case has been filed against him, and inquiries are ongoing to unearth further details of his illicit activities.



This arrest aligns with the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has emphasized robust operations against criminal activities, particularly residential thefts, across the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, reiterated the department’s commitment to safeguarding the community, ensuring that stringent measures are in place to deter criminals. The public is encouraged to assist law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or via the emergency helpline “Pukar-15.”
