Large Scale Search Operations Target Crime in Islamabad


ISLAMABAD: A series of extensive search operations have been launched in Islamabad as part of a broader initiative to combat crime and enhance security in the city. The operations are being carried out under the directive of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and involve thorough checks across various sectors of the federal capital.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were conducted within the jurisdictions of multiple police stations, overseen by zonal SPs. The efforts included checks on 663 individuals, 348 houses, 38 shops, 59 hotels, 215 motorcycles, and 61 vehicles. As a result, one foreign national residing illegally, 32 suspicious persons, and one motorcycle were taken to police stations for further legal procedures.



SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, stated that the main goal of these operations is to tighten the security perimeter around criminal elements and to reinforce the city’s security infrastructure. He assured that the Islamabad Police will persist in taking action against criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers without any discrimination.



Raza also called upon citizens to assist law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
