Trainee Students from National University of Modern Languages Explore Safe City Islamabad


Islamabad: A delegation of trainee students from the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) recently visited Safe City Islamabad to gain insights into its advanced surveillance and operational systems. The visit included a tour of the central system, the Command and Control Center, and the Police Operations Center Hall, where students were briefed on the functionality and significance of these systems.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the delegation met with Director IT Atif Abbas, who elaborated on the role of Safe City Islamabad in enhancing the effectiveness and transparency of policing through modern technology. He highlighted that the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, Dispatch Control Center, and the “Pucar-15” Emergency Helpline are crucial in delivering timely police services.



During the visit, it was explained how the advanced surveillance cameras are instrumental in crime prevention and maintaining public safety. The use of Facial Recognition cameras at strategic entry and exit points was also discussed as a measure for identifying suspicious individuals and strengthening crime prevention.



The students expressed their appreciation for the technological infrastructure and public service efforts of Safe City Islamabad and thanked Director IT Atif Abbas and his team for an informative visit.
