Trade, tourism, transport suffer heavy losses in IIOJK

Srinagar, July 01, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian National Congress has said that trade, tourism, transport and education sectors have suffered heavy losses while Covid-19 pandemic has added more losses of the general people. The party leadership in a meeting of Block presidents and prominent workers held in Srinagar reviewed the organizational affairs and activities in Islamabad and Kulgam districts. The Congress President for IIOJK chapter, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, reviewed the organizational affairs and activities in the two districts, besides holding threadbare discussions over the hardships confronting people in absence of an elected government.

 

Bureaucracy could not be an alternative to the elected government, saying everything has changed since the dissolution of Kashmir Assembly, leading to the chaos and confusion across the territory, Mir rued. He expressed serious concern over the losses caused to trade, tourism, transport, education and other sectors and said the pandemic added more losses to these sectors. He urged the authorities to take effective measures to compensate the affected people.
