Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has reiterated that the timely delivery of justice and transparency in investigations are top priorities for the city’s police force. This announcement comes after a detailed review of public issue resolutions and policing standards, reflecting Islamabad Police’s commitment to maintaining professional and effective law enforcement.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi conducted a late-night review session focusing on administrative and operational matters, during which he emphasized the importance of swift justice and transparent procedures. In a meeting with AIG Investigation/Complaints Syed Inayat Ali Shah and AIG Legal Tahir Kazim, discussions centered on ongoing investigations, legal challenges, and resolving public complaints efficiently.
The IGP issued directives stressing that negligence or delays in safeguarding citizens and ensuring justice would not be tolerated. Officers were instructed to prioritize public complaints, resolve pending cases promptly and on merit, and comply with legal standards during investigations. IGP Rizvi reaffirmed that the police would continue their duties in line with the rule of law, transparency, and public service, maintaining the trust of the citizens they serve.
