Three Women Fatally Shot Over Family Dispute in Sargodha

Sargodha: Three women were killed in a shooting over a family dispute in the Melo Wal area of Police Station Miani, Sargodha, prompting swift action from law enforcement. Inspector General of Police Punjab Abdul Kareem has demanded a detailed report on the incident from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha and has instructed the District Police Officer (DPO) Sargodha to ensure the immediate arrest of the suspect involved.

According to Punjab Police, the incident occurred when the suspect, identified as the step-uncle of the victims, opened fire following a disagreement related to a marriage. The attack resulted in the deaths of the suspect’s niece, sister-in-law, and their housemaid. Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene.

In response to the incident, senior officers and forensic teams have been dispatched to the scene to gather evidence. The DPO Sargodha confirmed that specialized teams have been formed to track down and apprehend the suspect, with assurances that every possible resource is being utilized to achieve this.
