Three Members of Snatcher Gang Arrested by Islamabad Police

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police’s Tarnol station team has apprehended three wanted members of a snatcher gang linked to numerous thefts in the area. The arrests are part of a broader initiative to combat rising street crimes in the federal capital, according to police officials.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the law enforcement team also recovered stolen cash and a motorcycle from the suspects. The apprehended individuals were already facing charges in previously registered cases, and further investigation is currently underway to uncover additional details about their criminal activities.

The arrests come as part of a large-scale crackdown initiated by the Islamabad Police, following directives from Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Jawad Tariq. The operation aims to target individuals involved in robberies, street crimes, and other serious offenses within Islamabad. The intensified efforts have reportedly led to a notable reduction in such crimes across the city.

DIG Islamabad has instructed all officers to persist with operations targeting criminal elements who threaten the safety and security of citizens by depriving them of their valuables. The police’s commitment to maintaining law and order continues as part of this ongoing initiative.
