ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and enhance security throughout the federal capital, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations, checking over 750 individuals. These operations were executed following special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were spearheaded by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by respective zonal SPs. During the operations, authorities checked 762 individuals, 442 households, 15 hotels, 62 shops, 362 motorcycles, and 149 vehicles. Additionally, 26 individuals and 30 motorcycles deemed suspicious were taken to local police stations for further verification.
SSP Operations Islamabad highlighted that the purpose of these operations is to tighten the grip on criminal elements and bolster security across the city. The police are conducting such operations in various districts to take indiscriminate action against criminal networks, land grabbers, and drug dealers. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to nearby police stations or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
