Nankana Sahib: The three-day Vaisakhi Festival has concluded at Gurdwara Janam Astahaan in Nankana Sahib, marking the 326th celebration of this significant event. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf attended the ceremony, accompanied by Minister of State for Interfaith Harmony Khel Das Kohistani and Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora.

Thousands of Sikh pilgrims from countries including Australia, the UK, the USA, Canada, and India gathered in Janam Astahaan for the occasion. The event highlighted the efforts made by Pakistani authorities to facilitate the pilgrims’ visit and ensure their comfort.

Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora welcomed the Sikh pilgrims, emphasizing the excellent arrangements made for the Baisakhi Mela. He highlighted Pakistan’s initiative of opening the Kartarpur Corridor, underscoring the country’s commitment to promoting religious harmony.

Arora noted that Sikh pilgrims return home with messages of peace and love, reflecting the respect and dignity shown to the Sikh community in Pakistan. He pointed out that Sikhs residing in Pakistan represent a significant portion of the global Sikh population, indicating the country’s inclusive approach towards minority communities.
