Jammu: Indian troops persisted with their cordon and search operations in the Poonch district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. According to Kashmir Media Service, operations commenced on Monday evening with several gunshots fired in the Lasana area of Surankote.
The Indian Army, utilizing the platform X, reported that contact had been made with militants during a joint operation with allied forces in Lasana, Surankote, the previous night. Additional troops have been deployed, and the search efforts in the area continue.
A senior police official informed the media that the operation was initiated by a coordinated team of Indian Army and other security personnel late Saturday evening in Lassana, Poonch. During the searches, gunfire was reportedly heard, which led to tightening the cordon around the area. The search operation remains active.
