Three Dalits shot dead by village strongman in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, October 26, 2022 (PPI-OT): In Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, three members of a Dalit family, including a woman, were killed by their neighbours after a scuffle. The scuffle between Patel and Ahirwar families broke out in Deoran village near Bhopal after Jagdish Patel, alleged that their neighbour Manak Ahirwar molested his wife.

Later, Jagdish along with his family members barged into the house of Ahiwars and opened fire on them, killing Manak Ahirwar, 30, his father Ghamandi Ahirwar, 60, and his mother Rajpyari, 58. Brother of Manak Ahirwar was also injured in the incident. Indian media reported that Jagdish Patel is a village strongman and he often used to indulge in fights with others and the actual dispute between Patel and Ahirwar families was about a plot.
