Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court dismissed a petition filed by three candidates challenging the Federal Public Service Commission’s (FPSC) decision to deny them entry to the CSS Competitive Examination 2026 for arriving late. According to Press Information Department, the FPSC had conducted the examination at various centers nationwide, with clear instructions requiring candidates to report in advance.
The candidates, Mr. Muhammad Abu Bakar, Mr. Haadi Masuood, and Mr. Haris Zulfiqar, filed Writ Petition No.769 of 2026, arguing against the FPSC’s strict enforcement of entry rules. However, the court found no fault in the FPSC’s actions, stating that there was no illegality or discrimination in upholding the examination guidelines. The court’s decision underscored that the petitioners had not adhered to the pre-communicated instructions, and the petition was dismissed as lacking merit.
The FPSC affirmed its dedication to maintaining merit, transparency, and equal opportunity in its selection processes, emphasizing the importance of competitiveness and adherence to established protocols in examinations.
