Lahore, April 05, 2023 (PPI-OT):A meeting was held in the Chief Minister’s office under the chairmanship of caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi, in which the progress regarding primary angiography was reviewed. In the meeting, it was decided to start “Drip and Shift” for heart patients. In case of heart attack, the patient will be sent to Tehsil and District Hospitals by ambulance after giving the necessary injection.

In case primary angiography facility is not available in tehsil and district hospitals, they will be shifted to the nearest big hospital. Special ambulance of Rescue 1122 will take heart patients to hospital. The special ambulance of Rescue 1122 will have trained staff and necessary medical equipment.

“Drip and Shift” will initially be started in 4 districts of Punjab Sheikhupura, Qasor, Chiniot and Jhang. Secretary Specialized Health and Medical Education, while giving a briefing, said that more than two and a half thousand patients have been provided with the facility of primary angiography in 9 major hospitals of Punjab. of primary angio.
